We are looking for an enthusiastic kitchen porter to join our team.
Newhall Mains is a luxury accommodation business based on the northern side of the Black Isle. Previously derelict our buildings have been lovingly restored into a series of cottages and suites. We are now looking for a kitchen porter to join our team for the busy summer months ahead and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Chemicals handling
- Food preparation duties
- Receiving and validating deliveries
- Servicing of kitchen equipment
- Maintaining kitchen and back-of-house areas to the highest of standards
- Storage management of dry and fresh goods
Ideal Candidates / Required Skills:
- Level 1 Food Safety Award and First Aid
- Awareness of manual handling techniques
- Awareness of (COSHH) and chemical safety
- Experience of kitchen equipment
- Someone who is “hands on” and happy to work as part of a team - Positive attitude, self-motivated and enthusiastic demeanor. This is a fun environment but requires an ability to get stuck in and think on one’s feet.
