Job Title: Supervisor – Encore Bars Hospitality Group
Location: Edinburgh (various venues)
The Role
We’re looking for hands‑on Supervisors to join our growing Edinburgh bar family. You’ll work alongside the team, running your own section (bar or floor) while helping the management team keep shifts smooth, service fast, and standards high. This is an active, floor‑based role – perfect if you love leading by example and want a clear step towards management.
Our Venues
We currently operate four vibrant bars across Edinburgh: Boston New Town, Boston Old Town, Westside Rodeo, and Freddys – each with its own character, but all united by high standards and a party atmosphere. And we’re not stopping there – more venues are opening soon, so there’s huge room to grow with us.
What You’ll Do
- Lead by example: work a busy section, support colleagues, and keep service flowing.
- Delegate tasks, monitor floor coverage, and step in to fix bottlenecks.
- Coach and support serving staff and new starters.
- Deliver great guest experiences, handle low‑level issues, and spot upselling opportunities.
- Enforce Challenge 25, responsible service, and all health & safety rules.
- Complete opening/closing checks and incident reports as needed.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or similar hospitality role.
- Calm under pressure, great multitasker, and able to run a section while watching the bigger picture.
- Solid communication and basic leadership skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and available for evenings, weekends, and peak trading (Festival, Christmas, etc.).
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience training or mentoring others.
- Basic knowledge of licensing, health & safety.
- Personal Licence (Scotland) or willingness to get one.
