At Embrace Fostering we require an experienced Supervising Social Worker to help us deliver outstanding therapeutic support across Lincolnshire. You will supervise and support existing foster carers while helping to grow our service in the area. Working in line with safeguarding and child protection requirements, fostering regulations, the National Minimum Standards and Ofsted guidance, you will help achieve the best possible outcomes for children, young people, foster carers and their families. This hybrid role combines home working with travel to various locations to fulfil your role including foster carers’ homes, team meetings and initial enquiry visits.
Essential Criteria:
- Social worker qualification - master’s degree in social work or equivalent
- Social Work England registration
- Experience of working as a Supervising Social Worker within a Fostering agency
- Experience of completing form F assessments
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential, as the role requires regular travel. Applications from non-drivers cannot be considered.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the region
- Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)
Key responsibilities
- To provide support and supervision to a manageable carer case load
- To work closely with any agencies and all staff to match children to families.
- To produce reports for and attend fostering panel meetings as necessary.
- To carry out an annual review of Foster families
- To support and attend a foster carer support groups as needed.
- To exercise an understanding of the customs, traditions, culture, and religions when dealing with children and foster families.
- To contribute to the development of the fostering service.
- To complete form F assessments
- To present and support training for foster carers
- To act, if required, as a member of Foster Care panel
- Be willing to work flexibly including evening and weekend work, when required, within the duty rota system or in emergencies.

Salary: £35,000–£41,500, depending on experience, plus mileage at 55p per mile for the first 10000 miles and 25p per mile thereafter.
