What You’ll Be Doing
As a Support Worker, your role is all about providing personalised support that meets the unique needs, goals, and dreams of each individual you work with.
Here’s a glimpse of what your responsibilities might look like:
- Helping individuals with their daily living activities
- Assisting with budgeting, shopping, meal prep, and other household chores
- Encouraging independence and helping develop essential life skills
- Providing support with personal care and hygiene when needed
- Monitoring and assisting with medication management
- Aiding individuals in accessing education, job opportunities, training, and volunteering
- Supporting participation in community events and social activities
- Building strong, professional relationships founded on trust and respect
- Promoting wellbeing, choice, dignity, and independence
- Keeping accurate records and adhering to care plans

Experience & Qualifications
Having a background in social care, supported living, learning disabilities, mental health support, autism support, healthcare, or community care can be a plus, but it’s not a strict requirement.
