We are currently looking for a paid rugby coach for the upcoming season.
Imperial Medics RFC has a long-standing history within university rugby, and we currently field two teams catering for players across a wide range of experience levels.
Our 1st XV competes in the competitive southeastern tier 1 BUCS league, and we are looking to build towards promotion within the next two years. Our 2nd XV provides a developmental environment for newer and developing players, with the aim of helping them become strong rugby players and future contributors to the 1st XV.
The coach would be expected to:
- Lead our Monday training sessions
- Accompany the 1st XV to Wednesday BUCS fixtures
- Help develop both teams throughout the season
From late January through March, we compete in the United Hospitals Cup, the oldest rugby competition with huge historical significance to medical school rugby and to our club. We are particularly ambitious about winning this as it has been 13 years since we last won.
Our season also concludes with our annual Varsity against Imperial College RFC, one of the most important fixtures in the club calendar.
We are therefore looking for someone who is ambitious, competitive and passionate about developing players, while also being comfortable working with players of varying experience levels.
The position is paid, and we would be happy to discuss the role, expectations and remuneration with interested candidates.
Pay: £20.00-£80.00 per day
Work Location: In person
