Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Domestic Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems within residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The successful applicant will ensure all work is completed to high standards, prioritising safety and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain domestic plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Diagnose plumbing issues and provide effective solutions promptly.
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out tasks efficiently.
- Perform welding and carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations when necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Assist with the assembly of plumbing components and systems.
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving materials or equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in domestic plumbing is essential.
- Knowledge of welding, carpentry, and mechanical systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques.
- Experience with commercial driving or operating lorries is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Basic maths skills for measuring and calculations related to installations and repairs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Prior experience in working with plumbing systems within residential settings is preferred but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.
