Sales Assistant
Ascona Group is one of Wales fastest growing companies with its UK Head Office located in Pembrokeshire. A leading independent petrol forecourt operator ranked 7th in the UK Top Indies. We own, operate and directly manage service stations across England and Wales. A retail network that has grown from 2 to 61 sites in 4 years, with annual sales revenues in excess of £220m per year. We currently employ 784 staff across the UK with over 250 located in Wales. We have exciting plans for the future with the development of our existing network as well as new sites joining our estate. We plan to own and operate 300 sites in the next 5 years and therefore as our estate grows we need more team members.
To supervise and control the dispensing of fuel in accordance with Ascona Retails
Procedures. Further to accept and ensure payment for goods and services in
accordance with Ascona Retails Procedures and to promote the sale of such as
instructed from time to time by Ascona Retail Management.
Key Responsibilities:
The control and authorisation of fuel dispensing equipment for use by customers,
in line with all regulatory requirements.
To observe customer behavior on site and report (to the management) any
activity that looks likely to, or has, become a breach of Ascona Retails
Procedures or any regulatory requirements.
To accept payment for goods and services in accordance with Ascona Retails
Procedures.
To exercise good judgement in the observance of age restricted sales.
To assist in the replenishment of stock on site as and when requested by
management.
To assist in cleaning and due diligence activities as and when requested by site
management.
To assist in taking meter reads, temperature reads, or any collection of data from
site equipment.
To absolutely ensure the integrity of cash handling procedures as set out by
Ascona Retail.
To count as instructed from time to time, stock held on site and record such
counts as instructed by management.
At all times to act in a manner that promotes the business and the name of
Ascona Retail and to practice good “customer care”.
When required, to adhere to the procedures for opening or closing the site in a
safe and secure manner.
