Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-time Barista/Waitress to join our vibrant team. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to quality standards.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service throughout their visit.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system with precision.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling light snacks or pastries when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter, seating area, and workstations in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming environment and promote specials or new menu items.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is essential.
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for handling transactions.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to engage positively with customers.
- Ability to work well under pressure during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends or evenings if required.
