Job Overview:
We are a family-run haulage business in Accrington looking for experienced LGV 2 Drivers to join our team for multidrop deliveries across mainland UK. If you have a passion for excellent customer service and are willing to be flexible with hours, we would love to hear from you. Nights out and some weekend work may be required, and we provide a uniform. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate LGV 2 vehicles, ensuring all traffic regulations and safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Make timely multidrop deliveries across mainland UK, adhering to agreed schedules and routes. (including central London)
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
- Load and unload curtain sided vehicle with a tail lift / pallet truck as required, ensuring all loads are properly secured.
- Provide excellent customer service on each delivery, addressing any queries or issues professionally.
- Maintain accurate delivery and log records as per company policy.
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and perform minor maintenance tasks as needed.
- Adhere to company policies, road safety regulations, and environmental considerations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Category C Licence (LGV 2). (must have held license for 2 years +)
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a multidrop environment.
- Strong commercial driving skills with the ability to operate flatbed vehicles.
- Excellent knowledge of UK road safety regulations.
- Good communication skills with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work nights out and weekends when required.
- Ability to work well within a team and contribute to the business’s success.
