We are a small, tight knit, successful insurance law firm based in Chorley, Lancashire. We have delivered great service, high-quality representation and commercially sound legal advice to our insurance clients for over 20 years. We are looking to add to our team.
Role
Due to expansion, an opportunity to join us dealing with defendant RTA litigation up to £100k in value. The role is permanent, full time and initially office based.
You will need to be able to handle cases from start to finish. This will involve, assessing case merits, advising insurance clients, drafting pleadings, taking witness statements, instructing advocates, and generally preparing cases for hearings/trials. You do not need an in-depth knowledge of costs.
Experience and skills
You will need to be personable and approachable as our office atmosphere is important to us. We have a very low turnover of staff and a genuine collegiate approach to the work we do.
You will be experienced in dealing with RTA litigation probably in a defendant law firm, although a claimant law firm background will be considered
You will have a sound knowledge of the CPR and court procedure generally.
You will be able to organise and prioritise your work and be comfortable working with support.
