Due to continued expansion, Platinum Roofs & Building Ltd is looking for a motivated and professional Roof Inspector / Surveyor to join our growing team covering Southampton and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with roofing, construction, surveying, or sales experience who enjoys meeting customers, inspecting properties, and helping homeowners find the right solutions for their roofing needs.
The Role
As a Roof Inspector / Surveyor, you will:
✅ Attend pre-booked appointments generated by the office and marketing team
✅ Carry out roof inspections and surveys
✅ Use drones and visual inspections to identify defects and required works
✅ Explain findings and recommend suitable solutions to customers
✅ Prepare quotations and survey reports
✅ Follow up leads and maintain customer relationships
✅ Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth project handovers
✅ Represent the company professionally at all times
What We're Looking For
✔ Previous roofing, building, surveying, or construction experience preferred
✔ Confident speaking with customers
✔ Good organisational and communication skills
✔ Full UK driving licence
✔ Ability to work independently and manage your diary
✔ Experience with roofing systems is advantageous but training can be provided
Salary & Commission Structure
Basic Salary:
£35,000 – £45,000 per annum depending on experience
Commission:
1-3% commission on all confirmed sales generated from your surveys
Additional monthly bonus for hitting targets
Example Earnings:
£35,000 – £45,000 per annum depending on experience
Commission:
1-3% commission on job acceptance.
Additional monthly bonus for hitting targets
Example Earnings:
£100,000 monthly sales = £2,000 commission
£150,000 monthly sales = £3,000 commission
£200,000 monthly sales = £4,000 commission
A successful surveyor can realistically earn £60,000–£100,000+ per year through a combination of salary and commission.
