Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring that goods are handled, stored, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Load and unload goods from lorries and containers with precision and care.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed correctly.
- Handle materials safely, including heavy lifting of items as required.
- Utilise forklifts and other equipment for materials handling, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency within the warehouse.
- Assist in inventory counts and audits as directed by management.
- Sometimes making deliveries to customers
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Proficient in shipping and receiving processes.
- Capability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
- Basic maths skills for inventory management and record keeping.
- A proactive attitude towards teamwork and problem-solving.
- UK Driving license required
- 7.5tonne capability would be preferred but not essential
