Job Summary
BCK (Birmingham) Limited is an FCA‑regulated firm seeking a reliable, organised, and professional Administrative Assistant to support the day‑to‑day running of the office. This part‑time role is suited to someone who is detail‑oriented, discreet, and comfortable working independently while supporting a small team in a regulated financial services environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for general administrative duties, maintaining accurate records, handling correspondence, and contributing to a well‑organised and professional office environment. The role may also involve assisting with general office support tasks to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the business.
Responsibilities
- General office administration and filing (digital and paper‑based)
- Handling confidential client and company information in line with FCA and data protection requirements
- Answering telephone calls and responding to emails in a professional and courteous manner
- Data entry and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with scheduling, diaries, and appointments
- Preparing basic documents, letters, and reports
- Supporting compliance, record‑keeping, and audit requirements as needed
- Providing ad‑hoc administrative and office support within a professional setting
Skills
- Good standard of written and verbal English
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Professional, polite, and confidential approach
- Willingness to work within FCA rules, policies, and procedures
Desirable
- Previous administrative or office experience
- Experience within a regulated or professional services environment
- A‑Level or equivalent qualification
This role is ideal for someone that may have experience working with Citizens Advice Bureau, step change or another advisory company.

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
