Private care Medical day Unit are seeking an enthusiastic Coordinator to help maintain the efficient management of the scheduling team on Medical day Unit at our Chelsea site. This post is vital to the smooth running of the main unit. You will work in a busy environment, providing a supportive role to the clinical teams and the effective running of the on-site scheduling team. The role also includes some movement around different parts of the hospital as well as admin based roles. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, you should possess excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and organisational skills. Keyboard/IT skills are essential and hospital experience is desirable. The post is for 37.5 Hours a week Monday to Friday; with varied shifts between 8.00am – 8.00pm, working at Chelsea and Cavendish site on a rota basis with support on the Sutton site. The Scheduler is an integral member of the Private Care Medical Day Unit team, under the supervision of the Scheduling Manager. The post holder will coordinate all administrative aspects of the Day Care Services including data collection, reception and clerical duties. They will cover for the scheduling manager in their absence from site or when on annual leave.
The working days will be Monday –Friday various shifts patterns 7.45am -8.00pm. Weekend working may be added on an ad hoc or in the future.

Appointments, scheduling and capacity management across all 3 sites
To oversee and coordinate the scheduling inbox daily, ensuring that team members are aware of priority workloads on the day.
To deal with all new patient chemotherapy referrals from clinicians, ensuring that the first chemotherapy treatment is scheduled within Cancer Waiting Times targets.
To liaise directly with the patient regarding their treatment, providing information and reassurance and managing patient expectations around the chemotherapy experience
