We are looking for energetic, caring and enthusiastic Apprentice Childcare Playworkers to join our growing team, supporting breakfast clubs, after school clubs and holiday camp provision for children aged 4–11.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about childcare, play, wellbeing and working with children who wants to gain hands-on experience whilst completing an apprenticeship qualification and developing a long-term career within childcare, education or wrap around care.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities and play opportunities
- Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for children
- Support breakfast club, after school club and holiday provision delivery
- Assist with setting up activities, play spaces and equipment
- Support children’s wellbeing, engagement and social development
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and school staff
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety and company procedures at all times
- Support snack preparation and daily routines within the setting
- Work closely with the Setting Lead and wider team to maintain high standards
- Complete apprenticeship learning and practical development alongside your role

Requirements of the Role

- Some experience working with children aged 4–11 (paid or voluntary) beneficial but not essential
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Experience within childcare, schools or play-based environments
- Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety within childcare settings
- Level 2 Childcare qualification
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Food Hygiene qualification
- Enhanced DBS certificate
- IT confidence for registers and communication systems
