Delivery Van Driver (DPD) – North West London
Overview
We are looking for a reliable, professional, and experienced DPD Delivery Van Driver to join our growing team. You will be responsible for delivering parcels on behalf of DPD safely, efficiently, and on time while providing excellent customer service.
This is an in-person driving role based in North West London. Successful applicants will be expected to manage their delivery route independently, maintain a high standard of professionalism, and represent the company positively.
Pay & Work Location
You will be working as a DPD delivery driver, delivering parcels throughout North West London.
Pay: £1 per successful stop completed.
On average, DPD drivers complete approximately 120 stops per day, meaning most drivers can expect to complete around 120 deliveries per day. Your earnings will depend on the total number of successful stops you complete.
Delivery areas include:
- Ruislip
- Northolt
- Hendon
- Barnet
- Edgware
- Other surrounding areas within North West London
Daily Depot Routine
Each morning, drivers must report to the DPD depot to collect their van (if stored at the depot) and load their parcels before starting their route.

Drivers may choose to leave the company van at the depot overnight. Charging facilities for the electric van are available at the depot, allowing drivers to return the van at the end of each shift, place it on charge, and collect it again the following morning before beginning their deliveries.
Duties
- Safely operate a company delivery van.
- Deliver parcels efficiently while meeting DPD service standards.
- Plan and follow delivery routes to maximise efficiency.
- Load and unload parcels safely.
- Obtain proof of delivery where required.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Maintain accurate delivery records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding any delivery issues.
- Follow all road traffic laws and company safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a DPD delivery driver is essential.
- Hold a full UK driving licence with no penalty points and a clean driving record.
- Have a No Claims Bonus (NCB) on motor insurance, as successful applicants will be added as named drivers on the company’s insurance policy.
- Be based in or near North West London for convenient travel to the depot.
- Hold a Basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate, or provide proof that an application has been submitted.
- Home charging for an electric van is preferred but not essential. Charging facilities are available at the depot.
- Good knowledge of North West London roads.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physically fit and able to load and unload parcels safely.
- Able to work independently while remaining reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Committed to following all company policies and road safety regulations.
Driver Responsibilities
The company provides the delivery van and insurance.
The driver’s responsibility is to cover the electricity costs for charging the van. If the van is charged at home, the driver is responsible for their own electricity costs. If the van is charged using the facilities at the depot, the driver will be responsible for reimbursing the electricity used in accordance with the company’s charging policy.
