Fife Neuro and Stroke Rehabilitation Services are undergoing significant transformation aimed at delivering consistent clinical pathways and improving continuity of care for people with a stroke or neurological diagnosis across Fife. Following a comprehensive staffing review, we are seeking to recruit a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to lead the Occupational Therapy team based at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline. The in patient service comprises of a 20 bedded ward supported by a multi disciplinary team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to contribute to an exciting period of service development. As the Band 7 OT, you will work as a core member of the in patient multi disciplinary team while providing leadership to the Occupational Therapy team. You will deliver highly specialised clinical care, including advanced assessment, intervention, and management of patients with complex neurological and stroke related needs.
You will bring strong clinical expertise alongside proven leadership experience within stroke, neuro, or similar rehabilitation settings. The role includes responsibility for staff development, supervision, and driving quality improvement initiatives to ensure high quality, evidence based care. You will work collaboratively with Band 7 colleagues across stroke and neuro services to support consistent practice and pathway development across Fife with direct supervision from a Band 8a Clinical Specialist.
Applicants should have a minimum of three years’ experience working at Band 6 level within an NHS stroke, neuro rehabilitation, or comparable setting.
The service offers excellent opportunities for continued professional development, including access to training, involvement in service improvement projects, and the chance to represent the service at regional and national uni professional and multi professional forums.

Qualifications: A degree in Occupational Therapy is essential. Evidence of relevant training specific to neurological or stroke rehabilitation would be advantageous. Applicants should be registered with HCPC.
