Activ8 East Preston Nursery is a full year day nursery. We are dedicated to providing high quality care for children aged 0-5 years of age throughout the year.
Summary
We are seeking a kitchen assistant/cook to join our team at Activ8. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our children and staff. You will be required to prepare snacks, lunch and tea, clear away the food and clean the tables and floor after each meal. The hours are 9:30 to 4:30/5pm Monday to Friday, although we will also consider 2 part time staff.
Responsibilities
- Plan a healthy menu, order food and keep supplies stocked
- Prepare meals and snacks
- Ensure all food hygiene policies and procedures are followed
- Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness in the eating areas and kitchen.
- Ensure that all equipment and surfaces are sanitized regularly.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for children and staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen role is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
- Food hygiene understand and training is preferred
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to cleaning.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour

Experience:
