Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Endoscopy Nurse to support a busy (insourcing) endoscopy service. You will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality patient care across a range of endoscopic procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
- Prepare patients for procedures, including pre-assessment and consent support
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
- Administer medications and sedation as appropriate
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure infection prevention and control standards are adhered to
- Support recovery and discharge processes
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Requirements
- NMC registration
- NHS experience (essential)
- Previous endoscopy experience (essential)
- Knowledge of JAG standards and patient safety practices
- Strong communication and organisational skills
