We can now offer the opportunity for an Electrical QS to join our large multi-disciplined operation based out of Hereford.
Working on vacant properties, you will;
- Ensure the results of the verification process are accurately recorded on the appropriate certificates and inspection reports.
- Undertake supervisory duties where required, ensuring employed persons are competent and adequately supervised.
- Monitor the quality and compliance of electrical work carried out by employees and subcontractors, through on-site inspections.
- Review and approve electrical certification and inspection reports where required.
- Provide technical guidance and support to operatives and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Support audits, inspections, and assessments conducted by clients, certification bodies, or regulatory authorities.
- Ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented where non-compliances or defects are identified.
- Promote safe working practices and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Maintain adequate knowledge, experience, and understanding of the design, construction, maintenance, verification, inspection, and testing of electrical installations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant Building Regulations, BS 7671, and other applicable standards and industry requirements.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience of undertaking all aspects of domestic electrical installs including full and partial rewires, CCU changes, shower installations, boilers connections etc.
- An ability to complete additional works outside of the traditional disciplines associated with electrics.
- Thorough technical knowledge in all aspects of Electrical works.
- Fully qualified Electrician with relevant NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification electrical testing & inspection qualification (2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent)
- Excellent Communication skills
- Ability to use own initiative
- Enthusiastic and positive outlook
Package:
- Company van, fuel card, testing equipment, trade purchasing cards, mobile phone and uniform are all provided.
- 42.5 hours a week.
- Salary - £44,000 - £46,000 per annum. (Negotiable depending on experience)
