Engineer / Technical Service Operator - Healthcare Sector:
We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer / Technical Service Operator to oversee the implementation, management, and optimization of technical support processes for automated equipment in hospital environments.
Key Responsibilities
The role is structured into two main phases:
Installation phase:
- Installation of automated equipment, including system calibration and tuning of systems. Support the implementations following the project plan.
Ongoing Operations:
- Overseeing daily technical support activities to ensure seamless system functionality.
- Planning and executing preventive maintenance accordingly with the schedules.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software-related technical issues.
- Identifying, troubleshooting, and repairing system malfunctions and breakdowns.
- Ensuring compliance with agreed Technical Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Providing detailed operational and technical reports to management and headquarter.
- Establishing efficient work schedules and task prioritization strategies.
- Building and maintaining professional relationships with pharmacists, nurses, engineers, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Participating in an on-call rotation to provide support to nursing staff and guarantee continuity of healthcare services.
Hard Skills & Qualifications
The Engineer/Technical Service Operator must demonstrate expertise in managing both hardware and software components of automated hospital equipment. Key competencies include:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to swiftly address technical issues.
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing automated equipment.
- Excellent coordination abilities and cross-functional technical knowledge.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to anticipate and mitigate potential system failures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet management for inventory tracking and reporting
- A proactive and hands-on approach to technical issue resolution and equipment optimization.
Soft Skills & Competencies
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and healthcare professionals in a very demanding and innovative environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Education & other Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline is preferred.
- Basic proficiency in Italian is highly desirable.
