You'll read or listen to what comes in. Every month we get submissions - poems, songs, stories, visual art, the strange and unclassifiable. You'll make a short list and share your impressions, help us figure out what fits and why. You'll also help shape something bigger: a print project we're working on, not yet announced. You'd be in from the start.
What you'd do
- Read and respond to monthly submissions
- Share honest impressions with the team
- Help select and sequence work for the print anthology
- Contribute to the overall voice and direction of what we publish
Time
~8 hrs/month during submission windows (could depend on number of submissions we receive, but we are always here to share the load); plus longer-term work on the print project
You might be a fit if
- You share our passion for literature and music
- You read closely and have opinions
- You can say what you actually think, kindly
- No publishing experience or literature degree needed
- You care about words and the spaces between them
How to apply
Send a short note: who you are, what draws you to Unveiling the Soul, which role you're after. Tell us one thing you've made or organized that you're proud of - even if it's tiny. A link to your work or socials is welcome but not required. Bonus points for sharing your favorite poem and song pairing with us.

What you get
This is a volunteering position. We're growing the team so we can pursue funding - and eventually pay the people doing this work. For now, what you get:
- Discount or free access to events and concerts at WORM
- A real say in what this becomes
- The kind of access that comes from being inside something small and growing
- Opportunity to expand your network of artists
- A fun team obsessed with their crafts that will help you and teach you the ins and outs
- An opportunity to host your own special broadcast, if you're curious
All roles are meant to work in cooperation with others - you'll never be left completely on your own. We're here to help each other.
WORM is an artist-driven institution devoted to the development, promotion and staging of alternative cultural talent. Unveiling the Soul is a radio show on RADIO WORM, built by a small collective of volunteers who care about literature, poetry, music, contemporary art, and community. We're looking for collaborators who want to help grow the show, the archive, and everything around it - behind the mic as much as in front of it.
The role is remote, though it can be fun to have you in the studio sometimes.
Pay: Up to £1.00 per day
Work Location: Remote
