We're looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated General Assistant to join our friendly team at Tenterden Garden Centre on a full-time basis. This is a varied retail role across our garden centre, with a particular focus on our gift, home and lifestyle departments. You'll play an important role in creating an enjoyable shopping experience by maintaining attractive displays, keeping shelves well stocked and providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering friendly, knowledgeable customer service
- Replenishing, displaying and maintaining stock to a high standard
- Assisting with deliveries and merchandising
- Communicating with customers and suppliers
- Carrying out general shop duties and helping the centre run smoothly
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a retail environment (garden centre experience is an advantage but not essential)
- Is enthusiastic, proactive and enjoys working as part of a team
- Takes pride in delivering excellent customer service
- Has good organisational skills and a positive, can-do attitude
Please note
This role includes alternate weekend working.
It is a physically active, manual role involving heavy lifting and the safe operation of machinery, so you'll need to be comfortable working in a hands-on environment.
