Arya Projects Limited is seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and financial management of residential, commercial and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost planning, procurement, tendering, contract administration and post-contract cost control to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out detailed quantity take-offs and measurements from architectural drawings, structural drawings and project specifications.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in accordance with recognised methods of measurement and industry standards.
- Conduct cost planning, budgeting and detailed rate analysis for construction projects.
- Prepare estimates, tender submissions and commercial bid documentation for prospective projects.
- Source quotations from subcontractors and suppliers and prepare commercial comparison reports.
- Assist with procurement activities and evaluate supplier and subcontractor proposals.
- Monitor project costs, expenditure, budgets and cash flow forecasts throughout project delivery.
- Prepare interim valuations, variation assessments, cost reports and final accounts.
- Assist in the administration of construction contracts and commercial documentation.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on commercial and contractual matters.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, invoices, payment applications and financial documentation.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to management.
- Support the delivery of projects by ensuring effective cost control and budget management throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 1–3 years' experience in quantity surveying, cost management, estimating or commercial management within the construction industry.
- Experience preparing Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, valuations, tender submissions and commercial reports.
- Experience working with contractors, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers on construction projects.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles and construction cost management.
- Ability to prepare BOQs, estimates, tender documentation and commercial reports.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, contract administration and cost control procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Equivalent professional qualifications and relevant industry experience may also be considered.
Working Hours: 37.5 Hours Weekly
