Security Officer (In Vehicle) – Gatehouse & Perimeter Security

Position Summary
We are seeking a professional, vigilant, and reliable Security Officer (In Vehicle) to join our team. This role is primarily based outside the client's premises, operating from the officer's own vehicle positioned at or near the site entrance, gatehouse area, and perimeter locations.
The officer will be responsible for monitoring site access, maintaining a visible security presence, conducting patrols (when required) of designated areas, deterring unauthorised activity, and promptly reporting any security concerns. Welfare facilities, including rest areas and toilet facilities, are available within the premises and may be used as required during the shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible security presence from a designated position within your own vehicle at the site entrance, gate, or other approved monitoring locations.
- Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring only authorised persons and vehicles enter the site.
- Conduct and record patrols (when required) of the site perimeter, access points, boundary lines, and other designated areas in accordance with Assignment Instructions.
- Remain vigilant for signs of unauthorised access, theft, vandalism, anti-social behaviour, fire hazards, safety concerns, or other incidents.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, persons, or vehicles immediately to the appropriate contact.
- Record vehicle registrations, visitor details, delivery information, and access-related activities as required.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, alarms, emergencies, or requests for assistance.
- Liaise professionally with site management, visitors, contractors, delivery drivers, emergency services, and authorised personnel.
- Maintain accurate records, incident reports, patrol logs, and handover notes.
- Ensure all security duties are carried out in accordance with company procedures, Assignment Instructions, and client requirements.
- Provide a professional, courteous, and customer-focused service at all times.
Working Environment
- The officer will primarily remain within their own vehicle while carrying out security duties at designated monitoring points outside the premises.
- The role may require walking patrols around the site perimeter, entrances, gates, and vulnerable areas.
- Welfare facilities, including toilet and rest facilities, are available within the client's premises.
- The role may involve day shifts, night shifts, weekends, bank holidays, and working in varying weather conditions.
Pay: £12.71-£12.75 per hour
