About the Role
McKenna Brothers are looking for a reliable and skilled Sign Fitter / Installation Technician to join our growing team. This is a practical, hands-on role requiring safe and competent use of relevant tools and equipment, working on-site and installing a variety of signage products to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
· Install fascia signs, tray signs, illuminated signs, vinyl graphics and wayfinding signage to a high standard.
· Carry out site surveys, measurements and installation assessments.
· Interpret technical drawings, specifications and installation instructions.
· Safely use hand tools, power tools and specialist installation equipment.
· Install vinyl graphics, window manifestations and vehicle graphics where required.
· Work with illuminated signage, fabricated signs and built-up lettering.
· Safely operate ladders, access equipment and mobile elevated work platforms where licensed.
· Complete installations in accordance with health and safety requirements.
· Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and attention to detail.
· Liaise professionally with customers, contractors and site representatives.
· Travel to customer locations throughout the UK as required.
· Assist with loading, unloading and preparation of materials and equipment.
· Complete installation reports, photographs and sign-off documentation where required.
· Support other installation teams and workshop activities when necessary.
Essential Skills & Experience
· Good practical skills and confidence using tools.
· Experience fitting products on customer sites.
· Ability to measure accurately and install signage correctly.
· Understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
· Ability and willingness to undertake work at height where required, subject to appropriate training, risk assessment and safety procedures
· Full UK Driving Licence.
· Reliable, punctual and professional approach.
Desirable Skills
· Previous signage industry experience
· IPAF Licence
· PASMA Licence
· CSCS Card
· Vinyl graphics installation experience
· Experience with illuminated signage and MEWPs
