Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Supervise and motivate staff, including serving personnel, kitchen team members, and baristas, to maintain high standards of performance.
- Support food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes.
- Monitor food safety procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations at all times.
- Manage team schedules, organise shifts, and coordinate staffing levels to meet customer demand.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Oversee food production processes within the kitchen, maintaining efficiency and quality control.
- Assist in training new staff members on service standards, food safety protocols, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that promotes teamwork and hospitality excellence.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, food production processes, and hospitality best practices.
- Experience in managing teams effectively while maintaining high levels of motivation and morale.
- Previous roles involving serving customers or working as a barista are advantageous but not essential.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of health regulations related to food safety and hygiene standards is required.
