Mechanic / Plant Mechanic

Operating across sectors including construction, civil engineering, agriculture, groundcare and sports turf, we provide modern hire, sales and servicing solutions for everything from tractors, trailers and groundcare equipment through to excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, forklifts and specialist plant.

We are interested in applications from a range of mechanical backgrounds, particularly from candidates looking to broaden their experience within plant machinery, commercial vehicles and specialist equipment.
Annual earnings circa £46,500, depending on experience and role.
Employees undertaking a mobile role will benefit from door-to-door pay when working on site, a fuel card, and use of a company vehicle.
Candidate Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of vehicles and machinery
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex problems
- Keep the work area clean and organised
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components
- Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- NVQ / City & Guilds certification required, or equivalent certification to Level 3 standard
- Valid driving licence
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant mechanical experience required
Working Hours
- Full-time, permanent position
- Standard 5-day working week
- Monday to Friday
- Saturdays as required
- Overtime available
