Kitchen AssistantJob Summary
We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team in a busy, multi-award-winning restaurant environment.
You will work closely with our chefs to support the smooth running of the kitchen, assisting with food preparation, maintaining excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards, and ensuring the kitchen is fully prepared for busy services.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and wants to develop their kitchen skills as part of an experienced and professional team.
Duties
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation and kitchen tasks
- Ensure ingredients and equipment are prepared and ready for service
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen
- Wash and organise kitchen equipment, utensils and cookware
- Assist with deliveries, stock rotation and correct food storage
- Keep preparation areas, fridges and storage areas clean and organised
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety procedures
- Support the kitchen team during busy lunch and evening services
- Dispose of waste correctly and maintain clean working areas
- Work efficiently as part of the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Experience
- Previous experience within a restaurant or professional kitchen is preferred but not essential
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of basic food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and develop within the kitchen
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential

Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
