Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Micro Digger Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating compact excavators, commonly known as micro diggers, to perform precise excavation tasks on various projects. Your expertise will contribute to efficient site development, infrastructure work, and landscaping projects. Duties
- Operate micro diggers safely and efficiently to carry out excavation, trenching, and site preparation tasks
- Conduct routine inspections of the equipment to ensure optimal functioning and report any maintenance needs
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using the excavator
- Follow project plans and specifications to achieve accurate digging depths and dimensions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and meet project deadline
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of micro digger components and operation techniques
- Proven experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery in a construction setting
- Valid commercial driving license
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, and site instructions accurately
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions
