What will I be doing?
Working as part of the retail team this position covers responsibility running the day of the museum shop. Tasks include processing sales through the EPOS system accurately, stock taking, cashing up and taking a lead with end of day procedures such as locking up the shop.
A key part of this role is providing great customer service to our visitors and using product knowledge to inspire and maximise sales opportunities.
You will respond to orders received from the online shop by processing sales and packaging orders ready for dispatch. You will be following guidelines to display stock to a high visual merchandising standard, as set out by the Retail Manager and Retail Buyer.
What do I need to have?
We are looking for people who are excited and passionate about retail, delivering great customer service, and are fit and able to cope with the physical tasks that this involves.
You will need to have experience of working in a sales driven environment such as retail or similar customer focused role.

For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.

Additional Information
This is a part time role, 21.75 hrs per week. Your working days will be every Tuesday and Wednesday plus working alternate weekends, both Saturday and Sunday
