We are looking for reliable, hardworking self-employed cleaners to join our cleaning team on a flexible, zero-hours basis.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to earn additional income without committing to fixed weekly hours — whether you have another job, children, are semi-retired, or simply prefer flexible work.
About the Role
You will mainly be carrying out changeover cleans within serviced accommodation and short-term rental properties, ensuring they are cleaned, presented and ready to a high standard for arriving guests.
Hours will vary depending on bookings and business requirements, so there are no guaranteed weekly hours. Work will be offered based on availability, and you can let us know when you are available to pick up shifts.
Typical work will include:
- Cleaning and preparing serviced accommodation properties
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- Vacuuming, mopping and dusting
- Making beds and presenting properties ready for guests
- Checking properties are clean, tidy and guest-ready
- Reporting any damage, maintenance issues or missing items
- Working independently and as part of a wider team
- Travelling between properties throughout the local area
What We're Looking for-
You must:
- Hold a full driving licence and have access to your own vehicle
- Be reliable and punctual
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Take pride in delivering a high standard of cleaning
- Be comfortable working independently
- Be able to manage your time effectively
- Be available for some daytime work, particularly around property changeover times
- Be comfortable working on a self-employed, flexible basis
Previous professional cleaning or housekeeping experience is beneficial but not essential.
Flexibility
This is not a fixed-hours position.
We are specifically looking to build a bank of reliable cleaners who can pick up work when they are available. This could suit someone looking for occasional hours, additional income or work that fits around other commitments.
Some weeks may have more hours available than others depending on bookings, holidays, sickness and operational requirements.
Self-Employed Position
This position is offered on a self-employed basis. You will be responsible for managing your own tax and National Insurance obligations and maintaining the requirements associated with self-employment.
