We are currently seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join our Waterlooville team for structured, in-person teaching, with additional online freelance tutoring opportunities available through our tuition branch, OpenTutors. We are currently looking for subject specialists in Physics and Chemistry specifically.
The Role
- In-Person Delivery: Teaching 1-to-1 and small group sessions at the centre across several set days per week.
- Online Tutoring: Optional additional freelance online tutoring work is available through our online tuition branch, OpenTutors.
- Tailored Lessons: Delivering engaging Physics and Chemistry lessons up to secondary level, in line with the relevant curriculum (ability to teach either or both subjects up to A-Level standard is highly desirable).
- Accessible Teaching Style: Adapting delivery to support students with varying learning needs and abilities.
Key Requirements
- Teaching Qualification (Essential): QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent formal teaching credential.
- Subject Expertise: Strong subject knowledge in Physics and Chemistry at a secondary level (ability to offer A-Level in either discipline is highly desirable). We welcome applicants who specialize in one or both of these subjects.
- SEN Experience (Essential): Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (e.g., ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia).
- Location: Must be able to commute reliably to Waterlooville for in-person sessions.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
