About the Role
Future Pro Academy is seeking an experienced and qualified Further Education Sport Lecturer to deliver and assess our full-time post-16 study programmes.
This role is primarily classroom-based, delivering NCFE Level 2–3 Sport qualifications alongside GCSE English, ensuring learners achieve both academic success and meaningful progression outcomes.
While the focus is high-quality FE teaching and learning, there is opportunity to contribute to practical sport delivery and support our academy football programme where appropriate.
This is an excellent opportunity for a committed FE professional who is passionate about raising achievement, maintaining high standards, and supporting young people aged 16–19 to progress into higher education, apprenticeships, or employment.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across NCFE Level 2–3 Sport programmes
- Plan, deliver, and assess GCSE English in line with awarding body requirements
- Monitor learner progress, provide timely feedback, and track achievement data
- Prepare learners for examinations, coursework, and external moderation
- Provide academic tutorials and pastoral support
- Contribute to curriculum planning and resource development
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with FE compliance standards
- Support learner progression into HE, apprenticeships, or employment
- (Where appropriate) Contribute to practical sport sessions or academy support
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Sport or related discipline
- Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
- GCSE English delivery experience
- Experience delivering and assessing post-16 FE qualifications
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and FE compliance requirements
- Ability to track, monitor, and improve learner achievement
Desirable
- Experience delivering NCFE Level 3 Sport
- Experience within a post-16 sports college or academy setting
- FA Level 2 / UEFA B Coaching Licence
- Experience working with 16–19 study programmes
