Arborite Tree Services are looking for a skilled Arborist Climber to join the team. Working across a range of sites, you’ll be involved in delivering high-quality tree work safely and efficiently, alongside a professional and experienced crew.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate chainsaws and associated equipment both on the ground and from rope & harness.
- Carry out tree climbing and aerial operations safely and efficiently.
- Support ground staff and work collaboratively to complete jobs effectively.
- Promoting and participating in our Health and Safety Procedures.
- Promoting and participating in our Quality Assurance System.
- Undertaking other duties as necessary to supplement or balance the services provided.
- Inspect and maintain equipment, PPE, and tools.
- Represent Arborite professionally on-site.
Requirements
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and construction equipment such as excavators.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- Confident working at height using rope & harness.
- Physical fitness to handle manual labour including lifting, climbing, and operating equipment over extended periods.
- Proven felling experience.
- City&Guilds NPTC – Felling and processing trees up to 380mm(CS31)
- City&Guilds NPTC – Tree climbing and Arial Rescue.(CS38)
- City&Guilds NPTC– Areial cutting of trees with a chainsaw using free fall techniques.(CS39)
- City&Guilds NPTC– Chainsaw maintenance & Cross cutting (CS30)
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
Desirable (not essential)
- CSCS Card.
- Forestry First Aid at Work certification.
- Manual Handling training/certification.
- Additional NPTC units (e.g. rigging, MEWP).
- City&Guilds NPTC – Safe use of manually fed wood-chipper(CS100)
