We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager (Industrial Roofing & Over-Cladding) to join a growing industrial and commercial roofing contractor based near Blackburn, with projects across the Northwest.
This is a key role within the business, taking ownership of multiple roofing and roof over-cladding projects from contract award through to completion.
You’ll be responsible for project delivery, Health & Safety, subcontractor coordination and, importantly, maintaining strong relationships with clients throughout each project.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent position offering £65,000–£75,000 per annum, plus annual profit share and a strong benefits package.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage approximately 5–6 live industrial roofing and over-cladding projects
- Take projects from contract award through to completion
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular progress updates
- Attend pre-start meetings and site visits
- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, plant, scaffolding and site logistics
- Monitor programmes, costs, progress and project risks
- Prepare and manage RAMS and oversee Health & Safety compliance
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to keep projects on track
- Chair weekly internal progress meetings
- Produce client progress reports and support project handovers
- Take ownership of issues and proactively find solutions
Hours
Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm
Pay
£65,000 - £75,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Skills/Experience Required
- Proven experience within industrial and commercial roofing
- Experience with roof over-cladding projects
- Previous Contracts Manager or senior project management experience
- Experience managing multiple live projects
- Strong Health & Safety knowledge and experience managing RAMS
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- Strong organisation and programme management ability
- Proactive, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership
- Full UK driving licence
- SMSTS / SSSTS desirable
