The Senior Real Estate Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of value-add real estate investments across Europe with a strong emphasis on development and redevelopment joint ventures. This role focuses on executing business plans, maximizing asset value, and managing relationships with operating partners, developers, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in development projects, joint venture management, and hands-on asset management across the full lifecycle of an investment.
Asset & Portfolio Management
Lead asset-level strategy and execution for a portfolio of value-add and development investments
Drive business plan implementation, including leasing, capital improvements, redevelopment, and disposition strategies
Monitor asset performance relative to underwriting and proactively identify risks and opportunities
Oversee operating and capital budgets, track KPIs, and ensure alignment with fund-level return objectives
Work closely with Impact team to develop and monitor Impact KPI’s (Social or Environmental)
Development & Joint Venture Oversight
Manage relationships with JV partners, developers, and operating partners
Review and approve development budgets, schedules, design plans, and major contracts
Monitor construction progress, cost controls, change orders, and risk mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with JV agreements, including governance, approval rights, and reporting requirements
Financial Analysis & Reporting
Analyse financial performance, including cash flow, IRR, and equity multiples
Review and challenge partner reporting, development draws, and capital calls
Prepare internal investment update memos, valuation updates, and performance reports for senior management and investors
Transaction Support
Support the investment team in the asset acquisitions process, including underwriting and technical/impact due diligence by identifying asset specific impact initiatives
Provide asset management input on business plans, development assumptions, and operating strategies
Support refinancings, recapitalizations, and dispositions
Stakeholder Management
Holds ultimate responsibility for each investment
Serve as primary point of contact for JV partners and third-party operators
Collaborate cross-functionally with acquisitions, capital markets, legal, and investor relations teams
Present asset performance and strategy updates to internal committees and external investors
Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or related field or technical background with extensive business experience
Extensive experience in value-add real estate asset management, with a focus on value-add and development projects
Strong experience managing joint ventures and working with external development partners
Deep understanding of development processes & construction management
Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills (Excel proficiency required)
Strong knowledge of real estate markets, leasing dynamics, and capital structures
Strategic thinking with strong execution capability
Ability to manage complex, multi-phase development projects
Commercial judgment and risk assessment
Experience within a private equity real estate fund or institutional investment manager (preferred)
Exposure to multiple asset classes (preferred sectors healthcare, residential, education)
Track record of successfully executing value-add or development business plans (preferred)
Pan-European experience and European language skills (preferred)
