Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fencer to join our construction team, bringing expertise in installing, repairing, and maintaining fencing structures across various projects. As a vital contributor to our site safety and aesthetic appeal, you will work on diverse fencing installations, ensuring they meet safety standards and client specifications. Responsibilities
- Measure and mark fencing layouts according to project plans and specifications
- Install different types of fencing including wood, chain-link, vinyl, or metal panels with precision and efficiency
- Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, post drivers, and welding equipment to assemble and secure fencing materials
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate placement and alignment of fencing structures
- Perform repairs and maintenance on existing fences to extend their lifespan and improve security
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate project timelines and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Fabricate custom fence components as needed using welding and metalworking techniques
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fencing installation or related construction trades
- Strong skills in carpentry, masonry, roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or fabrication are highly desirable
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction projects
- Knowledge of construction painting for finishing touches on fences or related structures
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and measurements accurately
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to safety and quality standards
