As Spa Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operation of our boutique Courtyard Spa while delivering exceptional luxury treatments and guest experiences. As a hands-on leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, maintaining the highest standards of health and safety and compliance, supporting and developing the spa team, and ensuring the smooth running of the spa. Alongside your management responsibilities, you will actively deliver treatments, assist with guest reservations and retail sales, and lead by example to create a welcoming, relaxing environment that reflects the luxury standards of Parade Hotel Bath. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced therapist who is ready to take the next step into management or an established Spa Manager who enjoys working within a boutique, guest-focused environment.

- Create memorable first and last impressions by providing a warm, discreet, and professional welcome throughout the guest experience.
- Build genuine relationships with guests, anticipating individual preferences and responding proactively to exceed expectations.
- Ensure expert knowledge of spa treatments, wellness experiences, facilities, and luxury retail products, tailoring recommendations to each guest's needs.
- Handle guest enquiries, requests, feedback, and service recovery with confidence, empathy, and professionalism, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
- Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, discretion, and personalised service at all times.
- Deliver luxury spa treatments including massage, facials, body treatments, and wellness rituals to the highest professional standards.
- Conduct thorough consultations, adapting treatments to individual guest needs and contraindications.
- Lead by example by maintaining exceptional treatment quality and guest care.
- Provide aftercare advice and recommend appropriate retail products to enhance guest wellbeing.
- Support and coach therapists to ensure consistency in treatment delivery and service excellence.
- Oversee guest reservations, appointments, and booking enquiries, ensuring efficient scheduling and exceptional attention to detail.
- Prepare therapist rotas and daily schedules to maximise treatment availability and operational efficiency.
- Process or oversee payments, gift vouchers, retail sales, and account transactions in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate guest records, treatment histories, and correspondence whilst ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements.
- Complete routine administration, reporting, stock documentation, and operational communications.
- Take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the spa, ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, organisation, and hygiene.
- Ensure full compliance with Health Safety legislation, COSHH, spa operating procedures, emergency procedures, and company policies.
- Manage spa compliance, including risk assessments, SOPs, accident reporting, hot tub water testing, water hygiene records, equipment servicing, and statutory compliance documentation.
- Carry out routine operational audits and ensure any corrective actions are completed promptly.
- Monitor stock levels, order spa products, linen, consumables, and retail items, ensuring appropriate stock availability.
- Liaise with hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience across the property.
- Support the recruitment, induction, training, and day-to-day supervision of the spa team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Act as the spa's operational lead, maintaining high standards whilst supporting the Hotel Management team.
- Promote treatments, spa experiences, and premium retail products through professional consultation and genuine guest care.
- Encourage future bookings and personalised treatment programmes to enhance guest loyalty.
- Monitor retail performance, treatment occupancy, and guest feedback, identifying opportunities to improve performance.
- Support the achievement of departmental revenue objectives through effective scheduling, retail sales, and exceptional guest experiences.
- Ensure retail displays are impeccably presented, fully replenished, and aligned with luxury brand standards.
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a luxury spa, boutique hotel, wellness destination, or premium hospitality environment.
- Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Competent in delivering professional massage, facial, and body treatments.
- Strong knowledge of Health Safety legislation, COSHH, infection prevention, water hygiene, risk assessments, and spa operational compliance.
- Experience maintaining compliance records, operational procedures, and health and safety documentation.
- Passion for luxury hospitality, wellness, and delivering intuitive, personalised guest experiences.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and establish long-lasting guest relationships.
- Experience using spa booking systems, reservation software, POS systems, Microsoft Office, and administrative platforms.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Professional appearance, polished communication style, and the confidence to represent a luxury brand.
- Flexible approach to working shifts, weekends, and public holidays in line with business requirements.
- Previous experience within an opening hotel or spa.
- Additional massage or specialist therapy qualifications.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience managing hot tub water testing and spa compliance (or willingness to undertake training).
