Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and ensure they feel comfortable upon arrival
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, providing recommendations when appropriate
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to during service and food preparation
- Handle payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change or receipts
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any special dietary requirements
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks if required, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable but not essential; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are important qualities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently
- Excellent time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Good communication skills for effective guest interaction and teamwork
- Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
- Experience with upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
