We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to established recipes and standards
- Cook pizzas to perfection using traditional or specialised cooking methods
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Assist in meal preparation for other menu items as required
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management of shortages or expiry dates
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar kitchen role, preferably within a restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
- Strong skills in meal preparation, culinary techniques, and food presentation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Previous experience serving customers or working in a hospitality environment is advantageous
- A passion for creating delicious pizzas and delivering excellent customer service
