A growing and entrepreneurial insurance business is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its London finance team.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a broad and commercially focused role with full responsibility of the finance team as well as supporting the growth and development of the wider organisation.
The main purpose of this role is to oversee the accounting function including all group statutory reporting under IFRS, reporting to a US parent, monthly management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, design and implementation of accounting policies, and management of the internal control function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
- Oversee financial controls, reconciliations, and audit management
- Support regulatory and statutory reporting requirements
- Manage insurance finance operations including premium and claims accounting
- Deliver budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Drive process improvement and finance transformation initiatives
- Partner with senior stakeholders to support business growth
Requirements
- Big 4, ACA qualified accountant
- University level degree
- Insurance, MGA, broker background considered or straight from Insurance audit.
- Strong technical accounting and regulatory knowledge
- Commercially minded with strong communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and growing business
