Day Time Support Worker in Romsey, Hampshire.
Pay: £19.30 per hour weekday, £21.30 per hour weekend
Hours:
· Termtime: Friday 4.30pm to 8.30pm
· School holidays: Thursday and Friday 8.00am to 8.00pm
· Weekends: Alternate Sunday Shifts (Week 1: 7am-7pm, week 2: 7am – 1pm), as well as other shifts if requested / Bank Staff opportunity also available

About our Client
You will be supporting a fantastic 14-year-old young man who lives with Cerebral Palsy with Dystonia and uses a wheelchair. He has a fabulous personality and brings warmth, humour and energy to the people around him.
He requires 2:1 care and is non-verbal, with complex disabilities, so he needs patient, attentive support from people who take the time to understand him and communicate in ways that work for him.
He is sociable, smiley and full of character, with a brilliant sense of humour. He connects best with people who are enthusiastic, positive and fun, and he loves being supported to enjoy life to the fullest.
Key Responsibilities
· Supporting with hoisting
· Personal care, ensuring dignity and respect are promoted in all aspect of care
· Providing emotional support and reassurance
· Working positively when dealing with individuals who struggle to regulate their emotions leading to behaviours that may challenge.
· Following person-centred support and contribute to their development.
· Encourage and enable access to social and community activities, as well as supporting with physiotherapy sessions i.e. hydro, swimming, day trips etc.
· Supporting with nutrition
· Experience or willing to be trained in PEG feeding.

Requirements
· Full UK driving licence
· Experience in behaviour support and learning disabilities
· Enhanced DBS Check
