At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter.
We are a Unit that comprises of 24 Vascular beds plus 4 beds for patients undergoing major Vascular surgery who require higher postoperative monitoring.
We are looking for a Senior Clinical Nursing Assistant Band 3 that has a caring nature and skills to care for a complex group of patients that include both pre and postoperative care. Patients undergoing potentially lifechanging surgery. Therefore you are required to have previous care experience and have an understanding of the Proud to Care document and its importance in maintaining safety and Quality.
You are required to cover a 24hour period, therefore, the post holder is required to work both day and night shifts.
You need to be able to prioritise your workload and work well within the Team on the ward area. Good communication skills are essential and a Professional attitude to patient care.
As a Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker you may be required to carry out and perform a range of clinical based skills in
conjunction with the above key areas/tasks.
These Skills have been pre-mapped and approved by UHNM for this role and will be supported by completion of a robust
UHNM competency package that will be accompanied by education packages delivered by both the Care Coach Team and
other UHNM educators across the Trust who specialise in the training of these specific skills.
Please note that if you are selected for an interview there will be a pre-interview English and Numeracy test for this role.

- Wound Observation
- Simple Wound Dressing
- Removal of Peripheral Cannula
- Take Swabs (e.g. MRSA)
- Support and Assist New Staff- Buddy System/Care Certificate Supervisor (Training provide by the Care
Coach Team)
