Job Summary
Urgent hours Mondays 0930hr - 1230hr and Thursdays 0930hr -1330hr (We are urgently seeking compassionate and dedicated Bank Support Workers. (To be available for weekdays and weekends - currently urgently required for Monday and Thursday mornings) to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living and home care environments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting clients with diverse needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Duties
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
- Provide specialised care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
- Support patients with medication administration following prescribed protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Offer emotional support and behaviour management to promote a positive environment
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living space
- Monitor health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
- Support clients with care needs as necessary
- Administer first aid when required and respond effectively in emergency situations
Experience
- Prior experience in supported living and home care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia, Alzheimer's and behavioural management
- Experience with medication administration and basic first aid procedures
- Familiarity with care-giving for children or elderly individuals is advantageous
- Valid driving licence is preferred.
- Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility support
- Demonstrated skills in meal preparation and maintaining a safe environment for vulnerable individuals
