Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Engineer to join our team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems across various sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and welding skills, with experience in construction and plumbing. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and maintain fire sprinkler systems and misting systems in accordance with safety regulations and technical specifications.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
- Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques relevant to welding standards.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other specialised tools to complete installation and repair tasks.
- Conduct routine maintenance on fire sprinkler systems, including troubleshooting issues and performing repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with construction teams during system installation phases to ensure seamless integration into building infrastructure.
- Perform basic plumbing work related to sprinkler system components, ensuring proper connections and functionality.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and system modifications for compliance purposes.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines during all operations to minimise risks on-site.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG) with knowledge of welding standards.
- Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings related to fire suppression systems.
- Level 2 plumbing as a basic requirement if no Sprinkler experience
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Background in construction or plumbing work relevant to fire sprinkler systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations during installation or repairs.
- Previous experience in maintenance or system installation within commercial, residential or industrial environments is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team.
