£1,000 per week | Employed position | Approx. 4-week placement | Starting mid-SeptemberCareYourWay Alton, Farnham & Farnborough is looking for an experienced and personable Live-In Carer for a lovely 93-year-old lady based in Hampshire.This is currently a 4-week employed placement, starting around the middle of September, with CareYourWay employing you directly for the duration of the role.Our client is normally very independent but has recently broken her leg and now needs some additional support while she recovers and works towards regaining her mobility and independence.She loves horses, being outdoors and spending time in her garden, so we are looking for someone who would genuinely enjoy this type of lifestyle and be a good personality match.About CareYourWayCareYourWay Alton, Farnham & Farnborough is a small, family-run care company providing high-quality, personalised care across Hampshire and the surrounding areas.We pride ourselves on taking the time to get to know both our clients and our carers properly, and we focus heavily on making the right match rather than simply filling a placement.You will not be left to manage the placement alone. You will have regular support from our local office team throughout the placement, with someone available to help with any questions, concerns or changes in the client’s needs.Our office team works closely with our carers and families, and we are always on hand to offer guidance and support.The role will include:
- Supporting the client with her day-to-day routine
- Encouraging and supporting her to regain mobility and independence following her injury
- Personal care where required
- Medication support
- Preparing meals and drinks
- Light household duties
- Companionship and reassurance
- Supporting her to safely enjoy her garden and usual interests where possible
- Liaising clearly with the family and CareYourWay team
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous care experience, ideally including live-in care
- Is warm, patient, confident and able to encourage independence
- Has excellent communication skills and a good standard of spoken English to ensure clear and safe communication with the client, her family and the wider care team
- Enjoys the outdoors, animals and a more rural lifestyle
- Is reliable and comfortable working independently
- Ideally holds a full driving licence
A car is not essential, as the family has a vehicle that may be available, but being able to drive would be a real advantage.What you can expect from us
