Self-Employed Parcel Delivery Driver – Evri
Location: Huyton Depot, Liverpool
Pay: 80p per successfully delivered parcel
Payment: Monthly – paid on the 16th
Schedule: Monday–Saturday
Vehicle: Own vehicle required – cars are accepted
About the Role
We are recruiting reliable self-employed parcel delivery drivers to join our growing delivery team operating from the Evri Huyton Depot.
We have regular work available and are looking for drivers who want the stability of working the same designated delivery round on a permanent basis.
Drivers who commit to 6 days per week (Monday–Saturday) will be allocated their own designated round, allowing you to become familiar with the same delivery area, streets and customers each day.
If you are unable to commit to 6 days per week, we may still have opportunities available for cover work, covering rounds when permanent drivers are unavailable.
Pay
- 80p per successfully delivered parcel
- Paid monthly on the 16th
- Regular parcel volumes and ongoing work
- Self-employed position
Your total earnings will depend on the number of parcels successfully delivered.
Permanent Designated Rounds
Drivers committing to Monday–Saturday (6 days per week) will be considered for a permanent designated round.
This means:
- Your own regular delivery area
- The same round each day wherever operationally possible
- Regular ongoing work
- Become familiar with your area and develop an efficient delivery routine
We are looking for drivers who want consistent work, rather than occasional shifts.
Cover Drivers
Can't commit to 6 days?
We are also interested in reliable drivers for cover work.
Cover drivers will be offered available rounds when permanent drivers are off or additional cover is required. Please note that cover work does not guarantee the same designated round or the same level of regular work.
What You Need
You must have:
- Full valid UK driving licence
- Your own reliable vehicle – cars are accepted
- Your own smartphone with mobile data
- Appropriate Insurance to legally drive on UK roads (Goods in transit insurance provided)
- Ability to travel to Huyton Depot to collect parcels
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Ability to work independently
- Good organisation and communication skills
Previous multi-drop, courier or parcel delivery experience is useful but not essential.
Working Pattern
Permanent designated round:
Monday to Saturday – 6 days per week
Drivers are expected to be reliable and available consistently for their designated round.
We understand that everyone needs time off. We therefore ask drivers to provide at least 1 week's notice for planned days off wherever possible so that cover can be arranged.
What the Work Involves
You will:
- Collect your allocated parcels from Evri Huyton Depot
- Organise and load your vehicle
- Complete deliveries within your designated area
- Use your smartphone and the required delivery app throughout the day
- Follow delivery procedures correctly
- Provide good customer service
- Complete your allocated round reliably
Once you become familiar with your designated area, you'll be able to develop your own efficient routine for completing the round.
