Senior Sourcing Manager - Technology Procurement
Location: Milton Keynes (Candidates must be based within 90 minutes of the office)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sourcing Manager with a strong background in public sector technology procurement and strategic sourcing to lead high-value, complex procurement activities within a large and dynamic organisation.
This role requires an accomplished procurement professional who can manage end-to-end sourcing projects, influence senior stakeholders, deliver significant commercial savings, and navigate complex governance and regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the sourcing process from business requirement through to contract award and signature.
- Deliver strategic sourcing initiatives aligned to category and procurement strategies.
- Manage complex technology procurement and tendering exercises within public sector frameworks.
- Drive commercial value, cost savings and wider business benefits through effective sourcing approaches.
- Negotiate with suppliers and stakeholders to secure optimal commercial and contractual outcomes.
- Develop innovative sourcing solutions and business cases to address organisational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, governance and assurance requirements.
- Manage stakeholder engagement across multiple business areas, influencing at senior and executive levels.
- Facilitate smooth transition of awarded contracts into supplier management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and enhance procurement best practice.
Essential Experience
- Significant sourcing and procurement experience with a proven track record of delivering measurable savings.
- Recent experience of public sector technology sourcing and tendering.
- Strong knowledge of procurement regulations and compliant sourcing processes.
- Demonstrable expertise in supplier negotiation and contract management.
- Experience managing large-scale, complex procurement opportunities.
- Commercially astute with strong financial and contractual understanding.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior leadership level.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Results-focused with a completer-finisher mentality.
Desirable Experience
- Previous line management experience.
- Experience working within highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of rail, transport, infrastructure or similar sectors.
Pay: £350.00-£500.00 per day
