We are seeking an all round Electronics Design Engineer to who can design products from concept to production, Based at our factory in Accrington. In this role, you will design PCBs using Altium Designer, integrate PIC microcontroller architecture and implement robust wired and wireless communication protocols including PoE, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi.
Responsibilities
- Full Lifecycle Design: Take hardware projects from initial concept through to PCB layout, prototyping, and production.
- Component Selection & Integration:
- Power & Comm Management: RS-232/422/485, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) interfaces.
- Compliance: Apply EMC design techniques to ensure products meet standards.
- Technical Writing: Create technical documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience with Altium Designer for multi-layer PCB design.
- Familiarity with PIC microcontroller architectures an advantage
- Practical experience of EEPROM and Flash memory.
- Experience with RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and PoE.
- PSU and power management design.
- EMC techniques, shielding, and noise reduction.
- RFID technologies
